Anger is a natural human emotion and lots of people have difficulty controlling their anger. There are many kinds of anger ranging from mild irritation to a violent nuclear bomb inside! Unfortunately angry outbursts can lead to a breakdown in significant relationships and depression for the angry person.
Fortunately it is possible to learn to act in appropriate ways and control anger - just as it is possible to learn to swim. Part of the learning is getting to know “anger buttons” and either to cope with them better or avoid having them set off.
It is also important to learn positive ways of expressing anger, especially in cases where the angry person feels unjustly treated.
Ilona is an expert in anger management for adults and teenagers.
